The Green Jade is the first floating DP3 heavy-duty installation vessel to have been built in Taiwan.
This vessel will revolutionise the sector with its exceptional combination of high load and lifting capacity, impressive lifting heights and green technology.
Revolution in the offshore wind sector
And it’s no wonder, as the vessel has a crane with a lifting capacity of 4,000 tonnes, and a DP3 capability that will make it possible to transport a large number of multi-megawatt wind turbines, jackets and next-generation components in a single shipment, making it extremely cost-effective.
A response to DEME’s environmental commitments
Construction of this new flagship of the DEME fleet began in 2020. The vessel is 216.5 metres long and will be able to install mega-monopile foundations and jackets at greater depths. Its DP3 technology will enable it to continue to operate in the most difficult conditions. With its dual-fuel engines, its Green Passport and Clean Design ratings, as well as its waste heat recovery system, which converts heat from the exhaust gases and cooling water into electrical energy, the Green Jade fully embodies DEME’s environmental commitments.
